DOL MATCH REPORT: STEADFAST FC DEMOLISHED BA UNITED ON MATCH DAY 4.

Ghana Division One League Zone One match between Steadfast fc and Brong Ahafo United on Match Day 4 was played on the 31st January 2021 at the Aliu Mahama Stadium in Tamale.

Steadfast fc came into the game like a wounded lion after securing just a point in three matches. The club needed to win the match if they wanted to stay in the competition.

On the 2nd minute of play, Steadfast fc committed more men upfront forcing BA United defenders to commit a foul 24 meters from the goal line when Issahaku Fataw was brought down. BA United goalkeeper, Razak Abukari was forced to pull a surprise save to keep the match goalless.

With the experience of Abdul Ganiu Zainzain and Musah Taurik in midfield distributing passes to the strikers invited several chances.

The pressure from the home side was unbearable for the visitors having the National U17 captain Issahaku Fataw leading the attack.

On the 8th minute, Alhassan Siisu made a good move on the flangs providing fine cross for Abu Abdallah to calmly send the ball behind the net to make it 1:0 for Steadfast fc.

The National U17 attacker, Issahaku Abdul Fataw was closed to making it two on the 13th minute when he dribbled passed BA Defenders and fired a shot but the goalkeeper of the visitors came to their rescue.

BA United made their first attempt to score on the 19th minute but goalkeeper of the home side, Abdul Ganiu denied them.

A quick counter initiated by the goalkeeper of Steadfast Fc led to the second goal when his fine kick found the young attacker, Abdul Fataw who perfectly took on the defenders of the opponents to assist Alhassan Siisu who tapped the ball into the net to make it 2:0 for Steadfast fc.

B. A United Striker, Francis Awuah Amoah flicked a cross from Patrick Yeboah for a goal but Ganiu salvaged the situation for Steadfast fc.

The combining forces of Siisu, Abu Abdallah and Issahaku Fataw gave BA United defenders a though time.

Siisu came close to making it three after failing to convert what was seen as an obvious goal scoring opportunity on the 33rd minute when Abu Abdallah laid the ball across the goal.

The combined passes of Fataw and Abu Abdallah enabled Siisu to register his second for the day and 3 for Steadfast fc. The first half ended 3:0 for the visitors.

The second half started with both teams pushing hard and making their intentions known.

Fataw came close to registering his name among the goal scorers on the 52nd minute when he took the ball from midfield and make his way pass the the defenders and fired a shot which the goalkeeper Razak Abukari was at the right place.

Defender Mohammed Sheriff made it 4 on the 60th minute after BA United defenders failed to clear their lines.

Just when everything seems to be over , the national U17 attacker, Fataw fired a thunder shot pass the goalkeeper to make it 5 for Steadfast fc right on the 86th minute.

BA United got a consolation goal on the 88th when Sadam Dauda taped the ball into the net from a corner kick.

The match ended 5:1 in favor of Steadfast fc.

Issahaku Fataw was adjudged the NASCO MVP of the match after scoring one goal and providing three assists.
