Bofoakwa Tano’s rocky wall Issah Nyaabilla once again was the center of attraction in their hard fought 1-0 victory over Paga Crocodiles on Saturday at the Sunyani Coronation Park.

The young talented center back has been good all season for his great works at the back of their defense. His expertise knowledge in the heart of the defense has always been second to none, and he did same against his home regions club Paga Crocodiles Stars.

Issah Nyaabila who was a member of the Black Satellites have matured over this three years playing in the DOL. He stood between Bofoakwa and the unrelenting attacks of the crocodiles like the rock of Gibraltar. His ability to intersept passes is unparallel within the DOL. Superiority in the air made it very difficult for the tall strikers on the day to make headway. In all Issah prevented four clear scoring chances.

His great inputs in the game was not overlooked as he was adjudged the MVP award winner in the game.

He is one of the famous players in the team, he is welcome known by Bofoakwa Tano’s fans as “The Rocky Hunter” but in his native home town Bolgatanga, he is called “The rock of Bolgatanga”.

It will not be surprising to see him play in Europe next season, his unflinching works at the back has always been a great help to his team, for this reason they are currently on top of the Zone One League standings with 55 points, their fellow Promotion Chasers Real Tamale United who amazed 53 points, still has a pending case against B.A United whose supporters mercilessly beat up the center referee for awarding a penalty to RTU. This led to the game ending abruptly and the FA is yet to make a decision on it.

It is not common for defenders, specifically central defenders to survive the Referees bookings but for Nyabila, his experience and calm defending has helped him to always avoid bookings.

The rocky hunter is already in the limelight for the good reasons, and will be hoping to see his team play in the Premiership next season.
