DOL: 10 man Steadfast Fc draw 1 – 1 WITH Breakum Arsenal at Aliu Mahama Stadium
Tamale Steadfast Fc failed to win their first home match in the second week of Ghana Division One League.
The euphoria in the stadium was very high as lot of fans and supporters trooped into the stadium to watch the club’s first home match of the season. Fans and supporters expected so much from coach Mohammed Gargo’s side after they lost the season’s opener against mighty royals in Wamafo.
Steadfast Fc took the lead in the first half from a spot kick that resulted from a foul on the skipper of Ghana National U17 male team, Issahaku Abdul Fataw which was calmly converted into a goal by the player himself.
The Tamale based club held onto the one goal lead until their number reduced to 10 when the experience midfielder, Moro Iddrisu was shown a red card after receiving a second yellow card in the match. Things turned upside down for coach Mohammed Gargo and his men when the visitors, Breakum Arsenal capitalized on the numerical advantage to dominate possession in the match.
Steadfast Fc managed to hold onto the one nil lead until 3 minutes added time when the defenders lost concentration to give the visitors the equalizer.
Fans and supporters were very furious that Steadfast Fc failed to win the match after losing the season’s opener.
Steadfast Fc will travel to Sunyani to take on Bofoakwa Fc on Match Day 3 on 23rd January, 2021.
