There was rumours all around today, that the former Inter Allies player was going to sign for Accra Hearts Of Oak, but it turned out to be City rivals Legon Cities FC.
Adebayor was the leading goal scorer before the league was canceled.
The Nigerien import played a phenomenal role at Inter Allies where he led the goal King chart in the truncated Ghana Premier league following the outbreak of COVID-19.
Adebayor is expected to join the Royals before the start of the second round of the Ghana Premier league.
Known for his quick feet, Adebayor combines sweet wing play with goal scoring, and has the ability to take on defenders, as exhibited in the truncated league of 2020.
Legon Cities are lying in mid table after struggling in the early weeks of the league, and believes the inclusion of Adebayor will provide more firepower to their attacks. The Former Ghana Champions have scored 15 goals in 16 matches, and working to over turn the string of bad results in the 18 club league.
The inclusion of Asamoah Gyan was meant to bolster their squad but the former Sunderland man has not made any impact after
