Corruption Fight: Ablakwa Chairs 5-Member Team for “Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL)”
President-elect John Dramani Mahama has formed a team to gather and review public reports concerning potential corruption activities.
A statement released on Wednesday, December 18, and signed by the Spokesperson of the Mahama Transition Team, revealed that this newly established body will serve as a channel for citizens to report corruption-related matters.
The statement emphasized Mahama’s commitment to tackling corruption in a thorough manner and ensuring proper management of public resources.
The five-member team will be chaired by Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the Member of Parliament for North Tongu. Other members include distinguished figures such as former Auditor-General Daniel Domelevo, retired Commissioner of Police Nathaniel Kofi Boakye, legal practitioner Martin Kpebu, and investigative journalist Raymond Archer.
Their combined expertise is expected to bolster the effectiveness of this anti-corruption initiative.
According to the statement, this development is part of a wider effort by the Mahama administration to rebuild public trust and strengthen institutions responsible for fighting corruption. The team’s work will complement existing mechanisms and foster greater citizen involvement in the battle against corruption.
