A group calling themselves Concern and True Supporters group of Real Tamale United has demanded for the immediate revocation of the appointment of Mr Kassim Perez as the CEO of the club, RTU.
A letter cited by sportsmrnews.com which was signed by the Convenor, Mohammed Abubakari stated that the current leaders held positions in RTU in the past but failed woefully.
“We are seriously concerned, because this particular group of people has held Real Tamale United positions before and failed woefully. The appointed CEO was a consultant to Mr Kareem Starboy, former CEO of RTU and they both failed woefully to help the team qualify into the Premier League and the mismanagement of the club was also too much to comprehend”. The statement added.
The group also accused Mr Kassim Perez of mismanagement when he was in charge of the club. They also stated that 12 points were deducted from RTU accumulated points during his time as CEO of RTU.
The letter was addressed to the Chief Patron of Real Tamale United and Northern Regional Minister, Mohammed Saani and copied to the Board of Directors of the club.
The group is therefore calling on the Chief Patron to revoke the appointment of Mr Kassim Perez in consolation with the Board of Directors.
Real Tamale United is currently preparing ahead of the 2021/2022 Premier League campaign.
