Coach Dawuo’s influence extended beyond the touchline, as he played a pivotal role in Tamale Real Republicans’ successes in the National Milo Games Championship. Under his guidance, the team consistently excelled in the tournament, with the maiden 1994 Milo Championship in Kumasi standing out as a momentous occasion. Republicans emerged as runners-up, with individual honors such as Best Defender (Mumuni Kadir), Goal King award (Siba Mohammed), Best Player of the Tournament (Ridwan Lanabi), Best Goalkeeper and the coveted Best Coach award bestowed upon Coach Alhassan Dawuo.
1998 squad that won the Milo games
The momentum continued as Coach Dawuo led the team to a third-place finish in the Milo Games in 1996 in Accra. He secured the National Championship in 1998 in Koforidua, with Iddrisu Imrana earning the title of Best Player of the Tournament for Republicans.
The crowning achievement came in 2005 when Tamale Real Republicans triumphed in Bolga, marking a historic milestone in Coach Dawuo’s illustrious career. The list of notable players who flourished under his tutelage includes Hamza Mohammed, Shillah Alhassan, Mubarak Wakaso, Joe Bar, Iddrisu Imrana, Mohammed Wahid, Siiba Mohammed, Micheal Anaba, and many others.
Republicans was recently placed 2nd in the 2nd edition of KGL U-17.

Presently, he serves as the CEO of Real Republicans and holds the esteemed position of Chairman of the Northern Regional Football Association Juvenile Committee.
