CAF : Tamale Based Female FIFA Referee, Barikisu Salifu gets First International Appointment.

The only female fifa referee in Northern Region, Barikisu Salifu received her first international appointment as a match official for CAF Women’s U-17 World Cup Qualifying Match between Morocco and Niger. The young talented referee is appointed a fourth referee for the match along side her Ghanaian Compatriots; Joyce Obenewa Appiah – Referee, Alice Farizua Chacule – Assistant Referee 1, Mary Tei
Assistant Referee 2
and Inas Marhaz from Egypt as the Match Commissioner.

Earlier this year, 2022, Barikisu Salifu set a target for herself. That was to be a first Dagomba girl to become a fifa referee. The set target was met on Wednesday, 12th April, 2022 when she was deservedly received the FIFA badge from the General Secretary of the Ghana Football Association at the Association’s Secretariat in Accra. The results and benefits of the FIFA badge have started showing. The young female Referee could get the opportunity to officiate in both CAF and FIFA women’s international tournaments including the highest women’s competition, the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
The Match will be honored on 29/30-04-2022 in Morocco.
