Chelsea will not be receiving a renewed bid for starlet Callum Hudson-Odoi next month despite the Bundesliga giants still being interested in the player, according to reports.

Hudson-Odoi has been top of Bayern’s list of priorities for the past 18 months, though the Blues have continually dug their heels when it comes to his potential sale.

Chelsea rejected a huge loan offer with a £70million obligation to buy from Bayern at the end of the summer transfer window, and now the Germans have placed their interest on hold.

That is according to Goal, who state that Bayern will not make a January move due to uncertainty surrounding Douglas Costa, who is hoping to make his loan return from Juventus a permanent one.

Chelsea now have full control in the situation with Hudson-Odoi, after getting the youngster to sign a five-year contract in September 2019.

The 20-year-old was boosted into one of the top earners at Stamford Bridge, pocketing £120,000. He was also assured of more first-team opportunities.

Yet things have not gone as planned, with  the starlet struggling due to a series of injuries. Hudson-Odoi has lost his place in the senior England team as a result.

But Chelsea are however reported to be ready to make a series of clearance sales in January, as they look to fund a move for West Ham’s in-form Declan Rice.

Lampard has been monitoring the defensive midfielder for some time, in hope of bringing Rice back to the club where he started as a youth footballer.

Goal reports that Chelsea are still looking into putting a deal together, though West Ham value their man in the region north of £70m.

The Blues are expected to listen to offers for Danny Drinkwater and goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga in January, in hope of building funds.

Centre-back Fikayo Tomori is also expected to depart the club after failing to make a breakthrough following the arrival of Thiago Silva.
