It is crystally clear that the Women’s Premier League side, Northern Ladies has challenges regarding the goalkeeping department.
The club has been looking for goalkeeper for a while now to provide serious competition for their number one goalkeeper, Issahaku Barikisu. Well, it seems their prayer has been answered as the club is about securing the signature of the young and promising goalkeeper, Amenyeku Afi from Women’s Division One side, Tamale Super Ladies Fc.
The 15 year old smart and outstanding goalkeeper joined Tamale Super Ladies Fc in 2016 from Kpanvo Future Ladies Football Club.
Amenyeku Afi was adjudged the most promising goalkeeper in the Unity Cup Competition in Savelugu and won the Best Goalkeeper Award twice, both in Kumbungu during Unity Games. Afi was also the Best Goalkeeper of the BANUMA Top 4 Competition held in 2018. Her outstanding performance helped Tamale Super Ladies to win the 2019 Unity Cup in Kumbungu, beating Northern Ladies Fc in the finals.
Information reaching sportsmrnews.com indicates that Northern Ladies Fc have agreed an undisclosed fee with Super Ladies Fc for the young Goalie.
The paper work will be done once the transfer window is opened this week. The deal will be completed and announced before this week ends.
Amenyeku Afi could be available for selection in Northern Ladies match against Fabulous Ladies at the weekend in Kumasi.
