Breaking News: Northern Ladies Fc appoints MUMUNI ABDUL-MUMIN as the club’s Communication Officer
The Ghana Women’s Premier League club, Northern Ladies Fc has appointed Abdul-Mumin Mumuni as the club’s communications officer with effect from 16th October, 2020. The club believes that, with his experience in the media landscape coupled with his knowledge in the football industry, he can make significant contribution to the success of the club.
Abdul-Mumin Mumuni works with Radio Tamale as a sports presenter. He is also a sports writer who has written several sports articles, local, domestic and foreign for publications. The 36 year old sports journalist is the co-owner of a sports website known as sportsmrnews.com.
Currently, Mumuni Abdul-Mumin is the Treasurer for the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG), Northern Region branch and has always been on top of the job. He is also the Vice Chairman of the Communications Department of Tamale Metro Football Association and an Executive Council (ExCo) Member of the association.
In a letter signed by the club’s Chairman, Abdulai Abdul-Rahaman, dated October 15, indicates that they expect the new Media Officer to collaborate with management, the technical team, the playing body and the club as a whole to move the club forward.
Speaking to Sportsmrnews.com, the head coach of the club, Sumani Bashiru Deen expressed his delight to have someone like Abdul-Mumin Mumuni in his club as a Communication officer and expressed optimism that his coming into the club would impact the club positively.
Before his appointment, Mumuni Abdul-Mumin was the communication officer for the Northern Regional Women’s Division One League Club, Bagabaga Ladies Fc.
The Ghana Women’s Premier League is scheduled to start on 2nd January, 2021.
