Ghana’s renowned football administrator, Mr Jones Alhassan Abu is reported dead in Ivory Coast this morning. The report indicates he died at the hospital at about 5:00am on Tuesday, 10th August 2021.
Mr Alhassan Abu was a member of Ghana’s contingent for the double header friendlies against Mali and Qatar in Turkey. He was a management committee member of the Black Stars.
Jones was also part of the contingent that sent Hassakas Ladies to Ivory Coast for the maiden qualifications of the women’s champion league.
He was the Chief Executive Officer of Tamale base Division One League side, Tamale City FC and has been very instrumental in the successes of so many clubs and players.
According to the information received by sportsmrnews.com, Jones was reported to have collapse at the airport in Ivory Coast when Hassacas Ladies was to return to Ghana and was rushed to the hospital.
Ghana has lost an illustrious football administrator and son and he will forever be remembered of his good works. Go well.
