Breaking News: Catholic Stars FC player dies after sustaining an injury in a match
The football fraternity has been saddened by the death of Linus Issahaku, a talented youngster who plays for Catholic Stars FC in Walewale. He died this dawn at the Tamale Teaching Hospital, TTH.
He sustained head injury in a match between his club and Buguya Paala FC, a team from Fumbisi in the Upper East Region, on Saturday February 13. He foamed in the mouth and run into coma immediately afterwards.
Issahaku was rushed to the Walewale Municipal Hospital, where tests were carried out and he was referred to TTH. CT Scan was conducted and showed haemorrhagic stroke, meaning he had bled inside his brain.
The player gave up the ghost before surgery could be done. It’s a sad case if a player whose dream is cut short by tragic death. He will be remembered as a hard-working player who gave his all on the field of play. God bless his soul and show him mercy.
