Breaking News: Asante Kotoko sack Maxwell Konadu

One of the greatest club in Ghana Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC have sacked head coach Maxwell Konadu following the team’s poor performance against Accra Great Olympics on Thursday.

In the interim, Coach Johnson Smith has been appointed to lead the team in its technical direction.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC suffered their first defeat of the season in one of their two Ghana Premier League outstanding game against Accra Great Olympics in Accra on Thursday afternoon.

The Porcupine Warriors were not impressive on the day and were the second best team as Accra Great Olympics proved their dominance on the game in the first half.

Olympics played a beautiful football on the day and should have produced more goals than they had.

The moment of change came on the 54th minute mark, Gladson Awako provided a master class and dribbled past the Kotoko defenders to send in a superb cross into the back post as Michael Yeboah headed home the opening goal of the match to put the visitors 1-0 up.

The Porcupine Warriors suffered their first defeat of the season in four games as Olympics picked their second win of the campaign after beating Kotoko 1-0 in Accra on Thursday.

Coach Maxwell Konadu took over from Kjetil Zackarissen in December, 2019 on a two years contract.
