Black Stars Midfielder, Mubarak Wakaso donates a set of jersey to SWAG, Northern Region.
Black Stars and Shenzhen Fc Midfielder, Mubarak Wakaso has donated a set of jersey to the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG), Northern Region. The donation was done on Sunday, 19th September, 2021. The former Alaves and Villarreal man assured the sports writers of further support.
SWAG, Northern Region was inaugurated last year and can boast of competent and hard working membership. The association has been taking part in ceremonial football matches and needs to have basic football materials at their disposal, hence the need for philanthropists to come to their aid like Wakaso has just done.
The leadership of the association, SWAG, N/R received the set of jersey from the workerhololic midfielder with joy and excitement. They thanked the 30yr old former Republicans FC and Great Eagles FC player for the kind gesture. The secretary of SWAG, Northern Region, Abubakari Yussif applauded Mubarak Wakaso for what he has done but called on him for more support for SWAG and its members.
Mubarak Wakaso also donated a lot of football equipment and materials such as sets of jerseys, cones, bibs and Markers to some football clubs in Tamale when he visited the Northern Regional capital after the Black Stars matches against Ethiopia and South Africa earlier this month.
Wakaso was also at Kalandan Park, Tamale to witness the final match and closing ceremony of his sponsored competition, Wakaso Annual Challenge Cup. The competition was won by his former club, Great Eagles Fc.
