Black Stars Coach C.K Akunnor named a 30 man squad for a double header friendly against Morocco and Ivory Coast
Coach of the senior national team Charles K. Akunnor has named a 30 man squad for a friendly encounter against Morocco and Ivory Coast in June.
The Black Stars are billed to play Morocco in Rabat in an international friendly June 8 and will face Ivory Coast on June 12 at the Cape Coast Stadium.
The Black Stars were to play the FIFA world cup qualifiers in June but due to covid-19 protocols, CAF Postponed it and it has now been scheduled to November.
As expected there have been some notable names in the squad including captain Andrew Ayew, China base Mubarak Wakaso, Mohammed Kudus of Ajax, Thomas Partey of Arsenal, Baba Abdul Rahman and Jordan Ayew.
There has also been some inclusion of local based players, notably Gladson Awako of Great Olympics, Ibrahim Danladi and many others.
Tamale Steadfast FC wonderkid and Africa U-20 best player Abdul Fataw Issahaku has also been given his second call up to the senior national team.
