The head coach of Tamale City, Wahid Mohammed has appealed to the supporters of Tamale City to remain loyal to the team without giving up in supporting the club. He made this appeal following the painful home defeat to Legon Cities on Sunday, at Aliu Mahama Stadium.

“I urge the supporters not to worry much. They should not give up in supporting us. We would soon make them happy. I could hear them chanting right from the beginning of the match till the end of it. We appreciate it and wish they continue that way”

The coach also disclosed that he is a type of coach who doesn’t joke with fans and supporters because he believes that fans and supporters are key stakeholders of clubs, without them no club can function well.

“I don’t joke with fans and supporters. The club is for them. Without them, the club cannot be”. We are sorry to them that we lost but assuring them that we would start winning for them, Inshaa Allah”.

Coach Wahid Mohammed added that the attendance he witnessed at Aliu Mahama Stadium today was massive. According to him, he has stayed in Accra for quiet long and has never seen fans in their numbers like that except matches involving Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

The 1-0 defeat to Legon Cities means that Tamale City is with no point in the first two matches of the 2022/2023 Betpawa Premier League.
