The Catalans will be in action this afternoon in Laliga when Cadiz visits. After an embarrassing results in the Champions league against PSG, Barcelona will hope to make it eight wins in a row in Laliga.
But this could not be a guarantee. Cadiz last played Barcelona at the Camp nou in 2006 almost 17 years back, it was a narrow win in that game, as Ronaldinho’s goal was enough to hand the Catalans a narrow win. Former striker and Legend, Samuel Eto’o even missed a penalty as the game ended 1-0 in favour of the Catalans.
Back in December Cadiz upset Barcelona after beating them 2-1 at home, goals from Negredo and Gimenez handed them that win, they also won against Real Madrid.
They are currently occupying 15th on the table, while the Catalans are on 3rd, a win for Barcelona will send them to second just 6 points behind leaders Atletico Madrid. Atletico were taught to be runaway leaders, but they have drop some significant points to put both Barcelona and Real Madrid back to contention.
Barcelona will hope to keep their current performance in the league, after going seven games win in a row. Should Messi score tonight he will become levelled in goals with close friend Suarez, whose team currently is not having things moving on well.
Cadiz will also want to win this game to boost their chances of surviving relegation.
A win for any of them will have a significant effect on the league table.
