Bagabaga Ladies CEO, Mr. Mohammed Andani Awee Supports RAG, N/R During The Fitness Test Program
The Chief Executive Officer of Tamale based women’s division one club, Bagabaga Ladies, Mr Andani Awee donated ten cartons of Awake Mineral Water to the referees association in tamale for their fitness test. The fitness test started on Saturday, 18th September, 2021 and ended on Sunday, 19th September, 2021 at Aliu Mahama Stadium.
Referees from Ashanti Region, Brong Ahafo Region, Upper East Region, Upper West and Northern Region converged at the Stadium for the fitness test ahead of the 2021/2022 league season. The fitness test is a key component of the selection process for the referees. It determines which referee qualifies to officiate at which league ie Ghana Premier League, National Division One League and National Women’s League.
The items were presented to the Regional Referees Manager, Mr A. A Alhassan at the Aliu Mahama Stadium on Saturday, 18th September, 2021.
The Regional Referees Manager, thanked Mr Mohammed Andani for thinking about the welfare of the Referees and coming to thier aid at this critical moment.
“I don’t know how to express my joy, we didn’t inform him about this event and he has come to support us. Thank you so much! Mr Andani, we are grateful to you” he stated.
The fitness test ended on Sunday, September 19, 2021 with only two casualties from Northern Region. A male DOL referee and a female premier referee.
The failed referees will have another opportunity to run in the future. The premier league will start in October while the Division One will start in November this year.
