As Europe prepares for Chelsea vs Man Utd clash Africa also awaits the super clash between Kotoko vs Hearts Of Oak

A special week with special games to go on, as Europe countdown the on the clash of two English heavyweights, Chelsea and Manchester United. The continent of africa is also anxiously waiting for the clash of two great Ghanaian clubs Asante Kotoko SC up against Accra Hearts Of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Chelsea and Manchester United games after Roman Abramovich take over in 2004 has been one of the most watched matches in the world, with fans always having much anticipation for their teams before the clash.

Both teams are anticipating for a win in today’s game, Man Utd are trailing Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City by 13 points, and they need that win to still put them in contention for the title, Chelsea are also trailing Man Utd by six points and a win will closed the gap to just three points.
With Thomas Tuchel yet to be beaten since his take over on 26th January, it will be a tough game for Olegunnar Solksjeir men who are also yet to lose an away game this season. Bruno Fernandes can also be a deciding factor in this game, but as dangerous as he is to the English clubs, Tuchel would have already find a way to stop the firing midfielder.

The two clubs has met 188 times, with Manchester United winning on 81 occasions, Chelsea winning on 55 times and both sharing the spoils 52 times, the recently draw was in October when Frank Lampard was still in charge which ended 0-0.
Both Coaches knows each other, Tuchel played against Solksjeir while he was as Paris Saint Germain. It will be another meeting for them this evening this time not in the Champions league but in the English Premier League.

With this game as important and interesting in Europe, there’s another very important game on the continent of africa for which many has even forgotten of the Chelsea versus Man Utd game.

It is a clash of Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts Of Oak. It is a game well known in the continent as the Super clash.
Both teams has met 106 times in the league, with 36 wins for Hearts Of Oak, Kotoko winning 35 times and both drawing 35 times. This shows how competitive their clash has always been.

As the table stands both teams are currently with 23 points with Kotoko playing two games less as a result of their participation in the CAF Confiderations Cup which they were eliminated by Algerian giants Es Setif.
It will be a difficult game for both teams, they have all had managerial changes this season, with the Phobians being the latest after Kosta Papic tendered his resignation letter to the board.
