All you need to know about Real Tamale United new goal poacher Yakubu Labandow “Computer”

Yakubu Labandow alias “Computer” as he is affectionately called was born in Madina in the year 2002. In those days for one to be successful in the area, you must either play football or go to school, but Computer as talented as he was compounded the two together.
He started his Nursery school at Grace and Glory Daycare in Madina. He then attended his primary and Junior High School Education at Madina Islamic School.
After completion of his J.H.S education, he went up north to his home town Yendi, where he gained admission to Yendi SHS in the Dagbon Capital. After his completion he gained admission to the University of Education Winneba where he studied B.A in English and Literature Education and graduated in 2018.
Yakubu Labandow Computer started his football career on the streets of Madina before joining Lazio babies, he moved from Lazio babies and joined Kalisto SC in Presec Legon.
He was loaned to Lucky Ways to find playing time for a single U-12 season and then came back to join Kalisto SC again. He played there for some years as he was developing from U-12 to U-14.
He finally left Kalisto SC and joined Flamingo FC. With his playing abilities and his leadership skills, he was appointed the captain of the team where he led them to win so many trophies. He played there for some time before departing to the northern Region to continue his education.
While Labandow was in Yendi SHS, he joined a division two club at the time by name Yendi Gbewaa FC and became a prominent figure in the team successes.
As one of his achievement he led the club to win the division two cup in the 2006/2017 league season as they also qualified for the division one league that year.
For his brilliance and contributions in the showdown, he was adjudged as the “Most Valuable Player” and also joint top scorer with his team mate Mohammed Ahmed Hussein (Canna 1).
He was also the second top scorer of the Normalization Committee (NMC) Special competition with seven goals which earned him a call up to the U-20 national team the Black Satellites.
Labandow left Gbewaa FC and joined Real Tamale United ( R.T.U) after so many years in the Yendi based club.
He is currently a player of the ” Pride of the north” and has since scored one goal in the division one league in their first league game against Kintampo FC, he also scored two goals for RTU during their Pre-season games.
He scored and assisted against Bolga All Stars which ended 2-1 in RTU favour, he also scored one against Walewale Catholic Stars which also ended 2-1 in favour of RTU.
In all he has played three friendly games for the team and scored two and providing one assist. He also played one league game for the team and scored in that game against Kintampo FC, which was enough to win them the match.
He got injured in that game and has since not played for the team due to his fitness. The team is hoping he comes back soon as they are facing serious challenges in scoring.
So in all competition’s, he has played four games for Real Tamale United and scored in three of the four and also providing an assist.
Great stats there for the young player, he will be hoping to come back and find his scoring form to help the team in their pursuit to qualify for the Premier League.
As he made it clear during his presentation, he vowed to charge the team to the Premier League with his goals and assist, and he will be anxiously waiting to come back and really proves to the World why he made a move to Real Tamale United.
