Agyemonto Jonas, 16, the fantastic Center Back was adjudged the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the match between Kasalgu Arrow Heads Fc and Tamale Sunrise Fc on Wednesday at Nida’ul Islam Primary School Park, Kasalgu in the Sagnarigu Municipality. Kasalgu Arrow Heads Fc beat Tamale Sunrise Fc by 3 goals to nil, goals scored by Abdul Haqq Ibn Tauhir, Abdul Sadir Musah and Iliasu Alhassan.

Agyemonto Jonas is a highly rated center back with great qualities of a defender. The young giant player is very good in dealing with aerial balls. As for stopping attackers on One on One situation, he is second to none. Jonas is also a type of defender who hardly loses concentration. He is very tough and has always been a hard bone for attackers to crack. His power and accuracy have made him to always step up for taking set-pieces that are closer to the opponents’ goal area. Agyemonto Jonas is the reason behind his club least conceding of goals during matches.

Arrow Heads Fc conceded only 3 goals in 7 matches and scored 15 goals in the 7 matches. The Sharp Arrows won 5 matches, drew 1 and lost 1.

Kasalgu Arrow Heads Fc

The founder and CEO of the club, Dr. Michael Ayamga, a Senior Lecturer at the University for Development Studies (UDS) strongly believe that his club can make it into next season’s Division One League. According to him, he trust his players, and with proper care and motivation, they can do everything for the club to qualify. Dr. Michael is a committee member of the Northern Regional Football Association who believes in investing into football for better development of the game.

Kasalgu Arrow Heads Fc will travel to Kumbungu on Saturday, 26th March, 2022 to take on Kumbungu based Salim Stars Fc on Match Day 8 of the ongoing Northern Regional Division Two League. They will return to their home ground to face Savelugu Yoo Fc in a midweek action on Thursday, 31st March, 2022 to complete the first round matches of the group stages.
