Afcon U-20: Abdul Fataw Issahaku wins Player of the tournament award as Ghana beat Uganda in the final game.
The Tamale Steadfast fc sensational has been awarded the Player of the tournament award after his wonderful performance in the showdown.
Abdul Fataw Issahaku scored two goals in the tournament and assisted one as Ghana clinched the Afcon trophy for the fourth time in history.
They previously won the tournament in 1993,1999 and 2009 of which they also won the FIFA U-20 World Cup that year.
Fataw announced his presence in the tournament by scoring a thunderbolt strike to double Ghana’s lead against Tanzania in the opening game of their group.
He followed that with another strike against Gambia as they lost 2-1 in that game which was also their final group game.
And in the final game today against Uganda, he registered an assist in Ghana’s opening goal, he also played a crucial role in the build up to the second goal.
The young talented Steadfast fc player has also made his name in the U-17 and also a key player for his team in the Division One League.
The nation and his club will be so proud of him, hopefully the young goal poacher will be looking forward to continue his career abroad as there will be many offers coming his way.
