Access Bank DOL: Abu Abdallah shines as Steadfast FC record 2-0 win over Maana FC in Wa
Steadfast FC have recorded their first away win of the season after beating newly promoted club, Maana FC 2-0 at the Malik Jabir Stadium in Wa. The Match Day 4 fixture was expected to be a tough encounter as the home side recorded two wins while the visitors recorded 1 win and 1 draw in their last three matches.
Striker Abu Abdallah scored the first goal on the 29th minute to put Steadfast FC in a lead. Substitute Mahama Mohammed scored the second goal to seal the victory on the 81st minute.
Steadfast FC were fantastic on the day, keeping possession and creating more chances. The spectacular display compelled the home fans to cheer them up. The improved Steadfast FC drew 2-2 at home against Techiman Eleven Wonders last week in Tamale before making a trip to Wa.
Striker, Abu Abdallah stole the show after scoring a striker’s goal and providing an assist for the second goal. His display won him the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award for the day.
This win places Steadfast FC second on the league log with 7 points, 2 points behind the league leaders, Debibi United.
Steadfast FC host City counterparts Kumbungu Binbiem FC on Sunday at Aliu Mahama Stadium on Match Day 5.
