Northern Ladies Abdulai Mukarama Wins Overall Best Player and Top Scorer of the USA NJCAA DI Soccer Women’s Championship.
Northern Ladies attacker, Abdulai Mukarama striked twice in the final of NJCAA Soccer DI Women’s Championship as her college, Taylor Junior College in Texas beat Salt Lake College 2-0 to win the NJCAA DI Women’s Soccer Championship Title.
It was the second straight NJCAA DI Women’s Championship title won by Taylor Junior College.
Abdulai Mukarama was named the Most Valuable Player of the competition (MVP). Her performance in the competition, according to reports was outstanding and had no match. She was also the top scorer of the competition with 23 goals.
Basiru-Deen Sumani, the coach who nurtured Abdulai Mukarama from grassroot to the elite football in Ghana could not hide his excitement as usual for seeing Mukarama winning titles and individual awards. To him, Abdulai Mukarama will continue to ecxel in football, both domestic and foreign front.
” In fact, I’m very excited. I know what Mukarama can do. She is my girl and I trust her. She will continue to excel in football, in Ghana and beyond, Inshaa Allah”, The head coach of Northern Ladies noted.
Abdullai Mukarama was the captain of the Black Maidens team that did so well in the 2018 U-17 World Cup, Uruguay. She won the golden boot and a bronze medal in the tournament. She has already represented Ghana in all the Women’s national Team levels ie U-17, U-20 and the senior national team, the Black Queens.
