Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has been handed a Black Stars call-up
Tamale Steadfast FC and Ghana U-20 Star Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has been handed a call-up to the senior national team after his impressive performance in Mauritania.
Fatawu, who is a player for Ghana Division One League side Tamale Steadfast Fc was adjuged the best player in the recently ended AFCON U-20 Championship in Mauritania.
He scored two sensational goals and provided one assist as Ghana emerged winners in the tournament after beating Uganda 2-0 in the final.
He will team up with the rest of the squad on Tuesday, March 16, to continue preparation for the two remaining Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Ghana will take on South Africa on March 25 before hosting São Tomé and Principe four days later.
The Black Stars sit at the top of Group C with 9 points and are in search of a ticket to the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
