Alhassan Haruna, known for his roles as a professional teacher and footballer, has acquired Tamale Great Eagles Juniors FC, a 3rd Division Club, from the Eagles Football Family in Tamale. Formerly participating in the 3rd Division League of Tamale Metro Football Association, the club’s ownership transition is now complete with all required paperwork signed and sealed.
The club has relocated to Shishegu, where Mr. Haruna resides, and has designated Almaktoum Senior High School Park as its training grounds. A swift affiliation process with the Sagnarigu Municipal Football Association has taken place, and the team is set to compete in the Sagnarigu Municipal Division Three League.
However, there are reports suggesting that a name change is on the horizon for the club, a preemptive move by Mr. Haruna to mitigate potential issues arising from the ownership transfer.
Renowned for his fervent passion for football, the young footballer and administrator is dedicated to making a positive impact in the sport. With a pool of talented players at his disposal, he aims to build a formidable team. Previously a subject teacher at Pong-Tamale Junior High School, Mr. Haruna played a crucial role in nurturing young football talent in and around Pong-Tamale.
As the Northern Regional Division Two League unfolds with its excitement, clubs vie for promotion to the DOL, while others face relegation. Tamale Great Juniors FC, now under the ownership of Mr. Alhassan Haruna, is positioned to contend for qualification and leave a mark in the league.
