KGL U-17 Championship : Win is a Bonus but Development and Experience are Most Important – Didi Dramani to Tamale Great Eagles Fc
The KGL U-17 Inter-Club Champions League is ongoing in Accra. Twelve (12) clubs representing 10 regions are participating in the maiden championship. Three venues are hosting the tournament including Madina Astro Turf, McDAN Astro Turf and ADJIRIGANO Astro Turf.
Tamale Great Eagles Fc is the representative of Northern Region in the competition after emerging as champions of the region. However, the club is almost out of the competition after failing to win any of the four preliminary stage matches played so far.

However, the astute technical man with vast coaching experience, Coach Didi Dramani believes that winning matches in the competition is just a bonus. According to him, the most important thing is the experience and development the players are getting from the championship.
“Winning matches is a bonus. That’s not the main benefit. The most important thing is the experience and player development. So be happy that you are here. Some of you never had this experience”. Coach Didi Dramani told the players of Tamale Great Eagles Fc.
The CAF Technical Instructor, Coach Didi led the players to identify some key qualities they must possess in order to succeed in football. Some of the key qualities identified were, hard work, discipline, determination, dedication and many others.
The former coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Black Maidens extended his visit to the Northern Brothers, Upper West Region where he had similar interaction with them and encourage them to make the North proud. However, Coach Dramani could not reach out to Upper East Region as they were at different venue, MaDAN Astro Turf.
Tamale Great Eagles Fc is still languishing at the bottom of the league log for Group A with just one point and will face the Northern counterparts, Wa Yassin Colts in the last round of the group stage matches on Tuesday, 14th December, 2021 at Adjirigano Astro Turf.
