20th win in a row, the current headline story for Manchester City

Manchester city after today’s away win against WestHam United has now gone 20 consecutive wins in a row in all competitions.That win has also opened up a 13 points lead at the top of the table with Man utd and Leicester City.

Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City has been on top of their game since their win against Southampton on 19th December, 2020, they have since won 19 games in addition which has kept them top of the Premier League table.

They met all the top teams and have beaten them all. A 3-0 win against Tottenham, 0-1 win against Arsenals, 3-1 win against Chelsea, 0-2 win against Man Utd and a famous 1-4 win against Liverpool. They have been outstanding and todays win against WestHam United has shown why Pep Guardiola is a special coach.

The Premier League trophy undoubtedly will be lifted by Man City. Guardiola did in 2018, in 2019 and now is the time to win a treble of the Premier League trophy. He will be the second current coach to have three Premier League titles with Jose Mourinho previously won it three with Chelsea.

City impressive season has gone this far thanks to their defense, the addition of Dias has strengthen Guardiola’s defense, John Stones since he joined Man City has not made any greater impact, but his partnership now with the portuguese has been solid and has lead to the goalkeeper also keeping many clean sheets.

They have also surpass club winning record of 11 wins to now 12. It was in 2017/2018 season they had their best run of 11 wins in a row but now they have bypass it and no one can tell when they will be ending the winning streak.

Pep Guardiola will also hope his team make significant adjustment to their performance in the Champions league this season, his team won their round of 16th first leg match 0-2 against Monchengladbach, but considering the chances they missed, it was not impressive for a side that wants to with their first Champions league trophy in their history.

He will hope his midfielders who have been outstanding so far help in the attack to score more goals and provide assist for the forwards to score.
Their next two games is against Wolves and Manchester United, and Pep Guardiola will hope to win it all to open up a wide gap between them and United.
