2022/2023 FA Cup: Steadfast FC beat Tamale City to book round 32 spot

Division One Zone One side, Steadfast FC booked their place in the Round 32 of the 2022/2023 MTN FA Cup after beating Premier League side Tamale City 1-0 at the Aliu Mahama Stadium on Boxing day.

Steadfast FC were quick to launch their first attack in the early stages and took the lead in the 9th minute through Jibril Nurudeen’s effort.

Tamale City tried as much as they could to pull parity but the resilient defense of Steadfast FC led by center back, Habilu Kunate Alhassan prevented them from doing so. No wonder he won the Best Defender of the Match.

In the second department of the game, Steadfast FC kept their composure until center referee Gabriel Opoku Arhin blew the whistle for the end of the match.

This win a revenge for Steadfast FC as they were eliminated from the same stage last season by Tamale City.
